Mickey’s Match-Up Mixer

Supplies:

  • Black construction paper
  • Hole punch
  • Art supplies: ribbon, stickers, feathers, beads/gems, etc.

Directions:

Before the party:

  1. Using household item, create a “Mickey” shape and use as a pattern to create several more.
  2. Decorate the Mickeys in pairs so that there are 2 that match. (e.g., use star sticker on one ear, create eyes and a smile using a hole punch, make a tie with ribbon, etc.)

During the party:

  1. Have guests sit in a circle and choose one person to be “it”.
  2. The person in the middle of the circle is Mickey and must close her eyes while one paper Mickey is passed out to each guest.
  3. The guests can put the paper Mickey in front of them face down or hold it so that the person in the center cannot see what each one looks like.
  4. To start the game, Mickey calls on one person to turn over her paper Mickey. Then the guesser tries to find its match. If it is not a match, both mickeys are turned back over and play resumes. If it is a match, the Mickey chooses someone else to be “it” and takes his place in the circle.
  5. To start a new game simply mix up the paper mickeys and distribute again!
