Directions
- Using the craft foam or construction paper, create a simple pattern of Mickey Mouse for the guests to trace.
- Trace the Mickey Mouse on two sheets of black craft foam using pencil or chalk.
- Cut out the center of each Mickey leaving a ½ inch border for the outline.
- Cut tissue paper into small 1-inch squares.
- Cut adhesive paper to size of craft foam and trace Mickey outline.
- Carefully peel off back from adhesive paper and place one Mickey on sticky side of paper.
- Place tissue paper squares on sticky side of paper mixing up the colors for a colorful “stained glass” effect.
- Place a dot of craft glue on the top of each ear and press ends of ribbon into glue dots so that you have a “hanger”.
- Place additional craft glue along the foam outline of Mickey and align the second foam piece on top of original and gently press into glue.
- Carefully peel back clear adhesive paper backing and fold over the top of your Mickey creation to seal both sides. Press down and smooth out, then trim around the outside.
- Hang your Mickey Sun Catcher for all to enjoy and remember the happiest place on earth!
