Ladybug Toss
Supplies:
- One red sock per child
- Dried beans
- 16" length of string for each girl
- Black permanent markers
- A green blanket
- Music
Directions:
- Give each child a red sock already decorated with black spots.
- Ask the children to fill their socks ΒΌ-full with dried beans. Using the length of string, tie the top of each filled sock tightly for each child.
- Once the socks are tied, have each child create faces using the permanent markers and write their name or initials on their ladybugs.
- Spread the green "leaf" blanket out on the ground. Place all the ladybugs in the center of the blanket. Position the kids around the blanket's edge, and then ask everyone to grab the edge of the blanket to lift it.
- Crank up the music and have the kids heave the blanket up into the air and back down, sending the ladybugs flying.
- The last ladybug left on the leaf wins! Play 3 to 5 rounds.
