Handprint Turkey

Supplies:
  • brown construction paper (for turkey body)
  • variety of colored construction paper
  • poster board (optional)
  • pencils
  • scissors
  • glue
  • kid-safe paints
  • wiggle eyes
Directions:
  1. Create turkey body by tracing child’s hand onto the brown construction paper.
  2. Cut along the traced line and glue “turkey” onto small poster board or second sheet of construction paper.
  3. Trace feathers on a variety of colored construction paper.
  4. Cut out feathers and have each guest write something they are thankful for on each feather then glue feathers onto body of turkey.
  5. Kids can decorate their turkey with crayons, paint, sparkles, etc.
  6. Be sure to let each guest take a bunch of extra feathers home so they can add to their “thankful” turkey each day!
Tip: Moms may want to date and cover these turkeys with clear contact paper to save as a keepsake!
