Going Goofy!
Teams must pick a dog bone and race back to their team performing the command and staying in their “lane”. Watch for the “Fast-Pass” which allows you to sprint by your opponent without waiting!
Supplies:
- 2 bowls
- White construction paper
- Marker
Directions:
- Create bone shapes out of white construction paper.
- Write a variety of funny commands on each bone. (i.e. Spell your name backwards, Hop on one foot while patting your head, Name at least 5 Disney characters walking backwards, etc.)
- You can write the same commands for each team to keep things equal or mix it up to keep it interesting. Be sure to include 2-3 “Fast Passes” per team.
- Surprise kids by including a few commands such as, “Cheer for your opponent!” or “Say something nice about a teammate!”
- Fold the bones and put an equal number of commands in each bowl
- Divide kids into 2 teams and line up single file.
- Place 2 “dog bowls” a good distance away from the start of each the line.
- At the start signal, the first player in each line races to his or her assigned bowl and chooses a bone. Then he or she proceeds to perform the command.
- If a player gets a fast pass – he yells “Fast Pass” which frees the next member of his team to start and the fast pass winner gets to sprint back to the line!
- The first team to finish and complete all commands correctly wins!
